Makes that require the unlock process to be finalised via a wifi connection:
Apple, Google Pixel
Apple Devices
Once you have received notification that the unlock is complete simply insert a non supported sim card and you will be prompted to connect the device to a wifi connection (assuming one is not currently available) it will then connect to the apple servers to verify that the devices next tether policy has been updated to be unlocked.
Please note all Apple Devices sold before 2011 will require the device to be connected to iTunes to complete the process. We recommend creating a backup of your device via iTunes and then restoring your device. Please note this will wipe the entire contents of the device so a backup is critical if you wish to retain the data stored on the device.
Google Devices
Once you have received notification that the unlock is complete simply insert a non supported sim card and you will be prompted to connect the device to a wifi connection (assuming one is not currently available) it will then connect to the google servers to verify that the devices next tether policy has been updated to be unlocked.
If this does not complete the process please try this alternate method which will push the unlock policy to the device manually:
If connecting to Wifi DOES NOT complete the process please enter *#*#2432546#*#*
If this does not complete the process please try this third and final alternate method:
- BACK UP THE DEVICE
- Check for available software updates within the settings menu. (If no updates are available please proceed to step 3.) If an update is available please download and install the update and then go to 3.
- Go into settings in the search bar just type reset and select ‘erase all data’ which will then complete a factory restore
- In the first reboot you should connect to Wifi in the Android setup. (If you activate the Wifi after the initial setup the unlock will not process)
